During the 60 day seige, Chaplain Linderman came to camp and stayed a few days. During his stay our latrine took a 82mm. Several weeks later received an air drop, (supplies, ammo, med goods). This was in it. Linderman passed away about five years ago. God bless him.

shows the hella pad as being black , I think they a called it (ped a prime) or pad a prime ....my observation ,it was like a latex tar that never quite set up , it kept the dust down , and the lose rocks and dirt in place ... if you got it on you, it was hell to wash off

The Vietnamese communist government erected this monument at Thuong Duc. It is dedicated to all the vc and nva who were killed trying to take the camp through the years. I am glad all the team members of A-109 could contribute to this monument. Gary B note: The photo on bottom left is a picture *I* took in 1967. Glad they liked it enough to put it in the memorial.
